Prepare for closures and schedules changes Monday — Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
King County Metro Transit bus riders should prepare for reduced service Monday. During a reduced weekday schedule, some commuter and school-oriented routes do not operate, and some trips do not operate on certain routes.
The next reduced-service holiday for Metro Transit is Presidents Day, Feb. 21.
Sound Transit buses and trains operate on a regular weekday schedule for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Sound Transit customers can also sign up to receive Rider Alerts via e-mail or text message for specific services and bus routes.
Metro Transit also offers Transit Alerts to update riders about inclement conditions, road construction and other service changes.
Riders should prepare for potential service changes in response to winter weather conditions.
The city, county and state close government offices in observance of the holiday. In addition, the Issaquah Community Center and Julius Boehm Pool close for the day.
