Allied Waste canceled garbage pickup in Preston and the surrounding area Wednesday due to snowfall and dangerous road conditions.
Allied Waste service is on a normal schedule for customers in Issaquah and neighboring communities in unincorporated King County should. Waste Management, the hauler responsible for most Issaquah businesses and residents, continues to operate on a normal schedule Wednesday.
Allied Waste trucks do not run if snow or ice prevents safe garbage collection on neighborhood streets. If haulers do not pick up garbage, recycling or yard debris, take the materials back inside.
Allied Waste collects a double load of garbage, recycling and yard debris at no additional charge on the next regularly scheduled collection day. Residents can put excess materials due to missed collection in a temporary container, such as a box or paper bag marked “garbage,” “recycling” or “yard debris.”
Inside Issaquah, Allied Waste provides trash service in the South Cove and Greenwood Point neighborhoods; Waste Management handles garbage pick-up in the rest of the city.
Allied Waste also serves Klahanie and Mirrormont outside of Issaquah city limits in unincorporated King County.
