Allied Waste canceled garbage pickup for Issaquah customers Thursday due to snowfall and dangerous road conditions.
The hauler provides trash service in the South Cove and Greenwood Point neighborhoods. The company’s customer service center is also closed Thursday.
Waste Management, the hauler responsible for most Issaquah businesses and residents, continues to operate on a normal schedule Thursday.
Allied Waste trucks do not run if snow or ice prevents safe garbage collection on neighborhood streets. If haulers do not pick up garbage, recycling or yard debris, take the materials back inside.
Allied Waste collects a double load of garbage, recycling and yard debris at no additional charge on the next regularly scheduled collection day. Residents can put excess materials due to missed collection in a temporary container, such as a box or paper bag marked “garbage,” “recycling” or “yard debris.”
Allied Waste also serves Klahanie and Mirrormont outside of Issaquah city limits in unincorporated King County.
