Issaquah High School soccer team posts second shutout

The Issaquah High School boys soccer team posted its second shutout of the week Wednesday when the Eagles defeated visiting Auburn Mountainview 3-0 in a nonleague game in Gary Moore Stadium.
Michael Roberts scored two goals and assisted on one as the Eagles improved their season record to 2-0-1. Roberts, assisted by Nick Smith, scored the Eagles’ first goal at the 25th minute. Smith, assisted by Roberts, put the Eagles up 2-0 at the 70th minute. Roberts, assisted by Alex Shane, wrapped up scoring at the 72nd minute. Goalkeeper Nathan King recorded the shutout.
Issaquah walloped visiting Chief Sealth 7-0 March 14. Shane scored four goals to highlight the Issaquah offense. Smith, Drew Tacher and Cooper Fry scored the other Issaquah goals. Evan King and David Degginger share the goalkeeping duties.
The Eagles play another nonleague game at Eastside Catholic at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Skyline golf team tops Bothell
The Skyline High School girls golf team defeated Bothell 308-312 Wednesday at Bothell’s Wayne Golf Course. Byra Vowels, of Skyline, and Sydney Howard, of Bothell, shared medalist honors as each shot a 57.
Issaquah boys lacrosse pounds Mukilteo
Kevin Powers scored 10 goals Tuesday as he led the Issaquah High School boys lacrosse team to a 19-1 victory against visiting Mukilteo in a nonleague game in Gary Moore Stadium. Powers also had 10 groundballs.
Jake Fritz and Ashton Ritchie each had four goals for the Eagles, who won their second contest of the season.
