So, my parents celebrated 50 years as a married, happy couple. But they didn’t make headlines. And, I suspect, many others have as well. Not to belitte the Montgomery’s achievement, but why a photo opportunity and headline story? Slow day? Just sayin”

Dave, it may come to you that maybe you could have done something for your folks. Actually this was not a good picture..and we did not ask for it or put it in. One of our children did it and when we came home from a four day celebration with the whole family put on by the whole family, this July 6 announcement surprised us. And we don’t seek attention. Just saying. The Press is a community paper, we have been taking it for 48 years. I imagine your parents were happy with their celebration too. Congratulations to them.

Well I”d like to say Happy 50th Anniversary to start, but I know it’s very late. Really I”ve been looking for Tom Montgomery for awhile now and so hopefully this will get to him and his wife. I”m doing this for my mother,Janice Marie Montgomery Shipman, his 1st cousin, she talks about him alot, and I”ve been finding old photos of “Tommy” as she calls him and the wondering starts all over again. So If you would rather not be in touch,I’ll just let it go,but would love to surprize her, with even a email. So if you have a email and would like to have some contact that would be great, and also I could email some photos to you! Thank You for your time!!!
