David McIlvaine, of Issaquah High, drilled a three-run triple in the sixth inning to highlight a four-run rally to help the Lakeside Recovery 17U baseball team defeat Kennewick 14-9 Friday in a loser-out game at the state AA American Legion tournament in Spokane.

Lakeside Recovery, 42-19 on the season, plays either Burlington or Gonzaga Prep in another crucial game Saturday at Gonzaga Prep in the 16-team tournament.

McIlvaine had two hits, four runs batted in and scored three runs for Lakeside Recovery, which bounced back from a 5-4 defeat to Burlington on Thursday.

Daniel Rawlings, also of Issaquah High, had a single, scored two runs and stole two bases for Lakeside Recovery.

Lakeside Recovery led 10-2 going into the top of the sixth inning when Kennewick scored four times to make the contest closer. However, Lakeside Recovery put the contest away by answering with four runs in the bottom half of the inning.
