With the winning school taking home $500, Seattle’s Prep Sportswear is asking high school sports fans to weigh in on their favorite school during the high school football season.

Dubbed “Turf Wars,” the first battle takes place around the Skyline vs. Liberty game set for Friday.

Voting began online Monday. Go to to vote for your favorite team.

The Turf Wars series will select one high school game from Washington for the rest of the high school football season.

Prep Sportswear is donating $1,000 to the host school each week and providing a commemorative T-shirt to every student at the school. Those donations are in addition to the $500 that will go to the school receiving the most votes each week of the contest.

Additionally each week, two individual winners will receive $100 worth of Prep Sportswear for their school.

Prep Sportswear is the flagship brand for Sportswear Inc., and advertises itself as the largest e-commerce provider of customizable apparel for retailers, schools and other businesses.

Including this week’s contest with Liberty High School, Skyline backers will have three chances to vote for the Spartans. Turf Wars will return to the Issaquah School District as Skyline takes on Newport on Oct. 7 and Eastlake on Oct. 21.
