Skyline High volleyball wins second straight match

The Skyline High School girls volleyball team won its second straight match of the season Wednesday when the Spartans blanked visiting Lake Washington 3-0 in nonleague play.
Skyline won the matches 25-17, 25-17, 25-18. Madison Stoa had 13 assists and three aces to lead Skyline. Molly Mounsey contributed three blocks.
Skyline also defeated host Liberty 3-1 in a nonleague match.
Skyline won 25-14, 25-15, 16-25, 25-15. Stoa had six kills and 24 assists. Halle Erdhal had 15 kills, 12 digs and four aces for the Spartans. Taylor Weik had a big match for Liberty with 10 kills, three blocks and eight digs.
Megan Tsutakawa contributed five kills, 27 assists and three aces for the Patriots. In addition, Lindsey Linden had eight kills, nine digs and six aces and Delane Agnew eight kills and six blocks for Liberty.
Issaquah soccer team opens with victory
The Issaquah High School girls soccer team opened its season Wednesday with a 4-1 nonleague victory against host Lake Washington. Audrey Thomas scored two of Issaquah’s goals. Jocelyn Eng and Annie Hoffman accounted for the other Issaquah goals.
