The annual and “ohfishal” Salmon Days geoteaming event is set for two sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sept. 24.

“Geoteaming” is essentially a high-tech scavenger hunt using handheld GPS units to find your way to hidden “treasures” in and around Issaquah. Every time you and your team find an item, you earn points toward your final score.

All equipment is provided to participants, along with a lunch catered by Rogue’s Issaquah Brewhouse.

Geoteaming will start and finish at the brewhouse, 35 W. Sunset Way. The first session runs from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sign-in is at 9:30 a.m.

The second session is from 1-3 p.m., with sign-in at noon.

Walking and weather-appropriate clothing and shoes are recommended. Space is limited and planners recommend pre-registration.

Participants are required to arrive one hour prior to their session to sign in, receive equipment and instructions. Space assigned to pre-registered participants who have not signed in 15 minutes prior to their start time will be given to persons on the wait list.

The event is sponsored by Kitchens Plus and Discovery Heights Apartments.

Learn more and find a registration form at www.salmondays.org. Look under “ohfishal events” and then “sporting events.”
