The Skyline Spartans came out on top, beating Issaquah 41-14 Friday.

Skyline quarterback Max Browne worked in typical fashion after a slow start, completing 30 of 42 pass attempts for 361 yards and five touchdowns. He threw one interception, but his scoring strikes went to four different receivers.

Issaquah got ahead early in the first quarter but Skyline took a 17-14 lead into the break.

The Spartans scored 31 unanswered points, altogether and held the Eagles to just 60 yards of total offense in the second half. Brown and the Skyline offense found a rhythm in the third quarter, scoring 14.

Issaquah quarterback Ethan Kalin threw three interceptions and went 16 for 29 for 189 yards passing, including touchdown strikes to Jack Gellatly and Derek Chapman, respectively.
