Liberty swimmers drop close meet

The Liberty High School girls swimming team lost to Interlake, 97.5-82.5, Sept. 20 in a KingCo Conference 3A/2A meet.
Mackenna Briggs, Cecilia Nelson and Elise Tinseth each won two events and swam as members of Liberty’s winning 400 freestyle relay team.
Briggs won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.74 and the 100 backstroke in 1:03.91. Nelson captured the 50 freestyle in 27.62 and the 100 freestyle in 1:00.48. Tinseth took the 200 individual medley in 2:18.68 and the 500 freestyle in 5:30.71.
Briggs, Nelson, Tinseth and Caitlin Duffner made up Liberty’s winning 400 freestyle relay team, which finished first in 4:03.38.
