The Skyline High School volleyball team stayed alive in the KingCo Conference 4A Tournament on Tuesday when the Spartans eliminated rival Issaquah 3-1 at Newport High School.

Skyline won the first set 25-22 but Issaquah bounced back to win the second game 25-21. The Spartans took the next two games 25-15 and 25-15 to win the match.

The Spartans were led by Maddie Magee, who had 11 kills and 10 digs, and Madison Stoa, who had six kills and 39 assists. Kennedy Stoa and Emily Harris each had 13 digs for the Spartans.

Newport, the regular-season KingCo champion, advanced to the tournament title game with a 26-24, 25-16, 25-20 victory against Bothell. Woodinville also advanced to the title game with a hard fought 3-2 victory against Roosevelt. Woodinville won 20-25, 28-26, 23-25, 25-18, 15-12.
