FBI agents arrest suspect in Issaquah bank robbery

FBI agents arrested the suspect in the Oct. 28 robbery of a local KeyBank branch, Issaquah police announced Thursday.

Investigators developed information about the suspect after a Snoqualmie police officer recognized the man from surveillance images captured at the bank. Police then turned the information to the FBI.

Federal agents obtained a warrant and arrested the man Wednesday.

Issaquah police responded to a robbery at a KeyBank branch along Northwest Gilman Boulevard just after 2 p.m. Oct. 28.

Investigators said a man approached a bank employee and handed the employee a demand note. The employee handed the man cash, and the suspect then fled the bank, carrying the loot. Police did not reveal the amount of money stolen, per standard procedure.

Officers searched the area near the bank, 405 N.W. Gilman Blvd., but did not locate the man.
