Skyline boys basketball team wins KingCo hoop opener

NEW — 10:15 a.m. Dec. 14, 2011 

The Skyline High School boys basketball team won its KingCo Conference 4A opener Tuesday by defeating host Redmond 58-44.

Skyline broke open a tight game in the fourth quarter by outscoring Redmond 16-8.

Senior forward Lucas Shannon, of Skyline, led all players with 19 points.

Will Parker added 16 points and Nick Kassuba 15 for the Spartans. Conner Floan topped Redmond with 15 points.

In other league action, it was Roosevelt 67, Bothell 51; Garfield 79, Woodinville 44; and Ballard 56, Inglemoor 45.
