Liberty boys basketball team falls to unbeaten Bellevue

Tynan Gilmore scored 16 points for the Liberty High School boys basketball team Monday but his efforts were not enough as the host Patriots fell to unbeaten Bellevue 62-42 in a KingCo Conference 3A/2A contest.
Bellevue, a preseason favorite for the conference title, jumped to a 22-7 first-quarter lead and never looked back as the Wolverines pulled away to their fifth victory of the season.
Michael Carlson, of Bellevue, scored a game-high 18 points.
Liberty dropped to 3-4 on the season.
Skyline quarterback earns All-American honors
Skyline High School quarterback Max Browne, who has picked up a several post-season honors already, earned honorable mention on the SI.com list of the top high-school football players in the nation.
Browne, a junior, and Bellevue senior Tyler Hasty, who also earned honorable mention, were the only KingCo Conference players to make the list.
