Taxing situation
A Sammamish resident called police after receiving a letter from the Internal Revenue Service indicating she had received a tax refund of more than $8,000. She said she had her taxes done through an accounting firm and had not expected a refund. She suspected someone used her Social Security number to commit fraud.
Drugs
Police arrested a 19-year-old Bellevue man for possession of marijuana in the 100 block of Front Street South at 9:08 a.m. March 18.
Raise the roof
The roof, mirror and door panel were damaged on a Mazda parked in the 600 block of Wildwood Boulevard Southwest before 4:08 p.m. March 18. A key and parking placard were stolen. The estimated loss is $1,052.
Unlocked
A lock was damaged on a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Rainier Boulevard South before 8:11 a.m. March 19. A gas card was stolen. The estimated loss is $200.
Tagged
Police discovered graffiti on a signal pole and cabinet at Newport Way Northwest and Northwest Maple Street at 8:41 a.m. March 19. The estimated cost to remove the graffiti is $77.50.
Storage trouble
Police discovered graffiti on storage units in the 1500 block of Northwest Maple Street at 10 a.m. March 19.

A window was damaged on a Cadillac parked in the 200 block of Wildwood Boulevard Southwest before 2:29 p.m. March 19.
Playing dress-up
Glasses, a coat, jacket and iPhone were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Rainier Boulevard North before 5:06 p.m. March 19. The estimated loss is $1,850.
Swiped
Cash and a bank card were stolen from a purse in the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard before 6:51 p.m. March 19. The estimated loss is $100.
Baby, I got your money
A man said his girlfriend stole cash from his wallet in the 6300 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast before 9:25 p.m. March 19. The estimated loss is $300.

Police arrested a 23-year-old Bellevue man on a criminal trespassing warrant at Newport Way Northwest and 17th Avenue Northwest at 12:50 p.m. March 20.
Double trouble
Windows were damaged on vehicles parked in the 900 block of 12th Avenue Northwest before 9:54 p.m. March 20. A laptop computer was stolen from one vehicle. The estimated loss is $2,075.
Subaru smashed
A window was damaged on a Subaru parked in the 2100 block of Northwest Poplar Way before 7:41 a.m. March 21. A purse was stolen.

Police arrested a 41-year-old woman on a King County driving-under-the-influence warrant in the 100 block of East Sunset Way at 10:19 p.m. March 17.

Police arrested a 20-year-old Kent man on a warrant for assault in the 16300 block of Southeast Renton-Issaquah Road at 1:38 a.m. March 18.

Police arrested a 42-year-old Issaquah man on a driving with a suspended license warrant and for driving with a suspended license in the 100 block of Front Street North at 9:35 a.m. March 23.
Soaked to the hard drive
Police responded to a call in the 900 block of Northwest Inneswood Place after a caller discovered a large camouflaged backpack in a forested area. The caller suspected the computer in the backpack had been stolen. Police said the backpack, computer and other contents had severe water damage.
Supermarket sweep
Police arrested a 36-year-old Issaquah man for theft at Safeway, 735 N.W. Gilman Blvd., at 12:06 p.m. March 23. The estimated loss is $741.50.
Uncovered
A tire cover was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Third Avenue Northwest before 2:27 p.m. March 23. The estimated loss is $800.
Knock-knock joke
Police responded to suspicious activity in the 1400 block of 24th Avenue Northeast at 2:07 a.m. March 24 after a woman rang a doorbell and refused to leave the premises. Police located the intoxicated woman walking along the street. She said she was unaware she had rung the doorbell.
Taken
Coats and cash were stolen from vehicles parked in the 100 block of Northwest Dogwood Street before 10:02 a.m. March 24. The estimated loss is $600.35.
Purse, snatched
A window was damaged on a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Newport Way Northwest before 11:28 a.m. March 24. A purse was stolen. The estimated loss is $550.
Shattered
A window was damaged on a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Newport Way Northwest before 12:59 p.m. March 24. The estimated loss is $200.
Over-caffeinated
Police responded to suspicious activity at a business in the 1100 block of Northwest Sammamish Road after a man engaged the baristas in conversation for more than 30 minutes. The baristas told police they “had a bad vibe” about the man and believed he wanted to rob the business.
Drugs
Police arrested a 21-year-old North Bend man and a 22-year-old Issaquah woman for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of Front Street North at 12:50 a.m. March 25.
Hung up
Windows and a lock were damaged on a vehicle parked in the 18700 block of Southeast Newport Way before 8 a.m. March 25. A smartphone was stolen. The estimated loss is $2,000.
Beer run
Locks and a security panel were damaged on storage units in the 18700 block of Southeast Newport Way before 11:50 a.m. March 25. A case of beer was stolen. The estimated loss is $2,575.
New York, New York
A resident in the 2100 block of Shy Bear Way Northwest said his or her credit card was used to make fraudulent purchases in New York before 2:12 p.m. March 25. The estimated loss is $440.
Ding-dong ditch
Police responded to the 2300 block of 29th Avenue Northeast at 2:16 p.m. March 25 after callers reported a group of juveniles ringing doorbells and fleeing. The officer told the caller not to run after the children or encourage the behavior in any way.
Stupid human tricks
Police responded to a disturbance in the 18300 block of Southeast Newport Way at 6:30 p.m. March 25 after people started arguing about the punishment of a dog. Police said the argument started after someone kicked the dog. Police told the people involved to stay away from each other. The dog did not have any visible injuries.
Insecure
A security keypad housing was damaged in the 18600 block of Southeast Newport Way before 7:26 p.m. March 25.
Flashed
A lock was damaged on a vehicle parked in the 18700 block of Southeast Newport Way before 4:13 p.m. March 26. Sunglasses, a camera and an iPod were stolen. The estimated loss is $750.
Bike bilked
A bike was stolen in the 22500 block of Southeast 56th Street before 7:34 p.m. March 26. The estimated loss is $200.
Lock, stock and barrel
Police responded to malicious mischief in the 100 block of Newport Way Northwest after a storage unit was damaged after a failed burglary attempt. The estimated loss is $20.
Up all night
Police responded to suspicious activity in the 1500 block of Ridgeview Avenue Northeast at 10:56 p.m. March 26 after a caller reported men knocking on doors in the neighborhood. Police contacted the men, and one said he had purchased a bed on craigslist and attempted to pick it up at the seller’s home. He said he became confused about the address and knocked on the wrong doors.
Unsafe
A door was damaged on a structure in the 300 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard before 10:18 a.m. March 27. TVs, safes and cash were stolen. The estimated loss is $2,600.
Fraud
A person in the 23200 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road said a fraudulent cable account was opened in his or her name before 11:09 a.m. March 27. The estimated loss is $900.

Really??? We are going to harass a citizen for talking!!! Has anyone heard of freedom of speech? We can’t assume everyone is going to rob and steal because they are acting weird.
