Rotary Club of Issaquah honored the following seniors as its February students of the month.
Isaac Hurlocker
School: Tiger Mountain Community High School
Category of recognition: outstanding senior
Sponsoring teacher: Sheila Thacker
Scholastic achievements: a “shoo-in” for winning the Tiger Mountain reading competition
Activities: running for class president
Scholastic interests: reading a lot; history, especially the world wars and Greek mythology
Hobbies: read, hang out with friends and hike — rain, sun or snow
Outside school affiliation: works at the Yisley’s Christmas Tree Farm
Future goals: plans to attend Evergreen State College
Career: undecided
Kelli Korenek
School: Tiger Mountain Community High School

Scholastic achievements: class certificate of achievement
Athletics: Select girls basketball team, fitness training, gym membership
Scholastic interests: art, U.S. history, world history, and reading nonfiction and biographies
Hobbies: reptiles, including snakes; nature walks; fashion; driving and touring; and video games
Future goals: attend Bellevue College
Career: interior design, herpetology (the study of reptiles) or vet assistant
Rachel Osgood
