Henry Rainier ‘Bob’ Schroeder

Henry Rainier “Bob” Schroeder, 67, of Issaquah, died peacefully May 4, 2012, at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle after he succumbed to lung cancer.
Bob was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Daytona Beach, Fla., the son of Henry and Clara (Bray) Schroeder Skender. Bob graduated from East Lake High School in Atlanta and attended the University of Miami.
He married the love of his life, Toni (Aldredge) Schroeder, on Aug. 6, 1966.
Bob served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and worked as a manager for Equifax before founding his own business, Rainier Collection Services in Bellevue.
A devoted husband, father and brother, and a steadfast friend, Bob was kind, patient, slow to anger, quick to laugh, and he approached life with optimism, humor and a calm sense of purpose. He loved animals and sports of all kinds. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and tennis, watching football, and spending time with family and friends.
Bob is mourned by his wife Toni; his daughter Tracey Schroeder Calandra (Savannah, Ga.); his sons Troy Craig (Maple Valley) and Lance Schroeder (Sammamish); his daughters-in-law Leah Craig and Kerri Schroeder; his grandchildren Katie, Brandon, Connor and Chase; and his brother Bill Schroeder, of Huntsville, Ala.
Bob will be remembered in a private service with immediate family at Flintoft’s Funeral Home & Crematory in Issaquah on Thursday, May 10.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the Humane Society of Seattle King County, 13212 S.E. Eastgate Way, Bellevue, WA 98005.
