Supermarket sweep

A wallet was stolen from a shopping cart at Fred Meyer, 6100 E. Lake Sammamish Parkway S.E., before 2:04 p.m. April 30.

Fraud

A woman in the 24300 block of Southeast 49th Street said she incurred overdraft charges on her checking account after someone attempted to use the account to pay a credit card bill before 3:55 p.m. April 30.

Parking lot rage

Police responded to possible harassment in the 400 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard at 4:55 p.m. April 30 after motorists argued about a car door opening into another vehicle. The swinging door did not cause damage to either vehicle. Police separated the motorists and advised them to leave the area.

Search

Police searched for a Subaru involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision in Renton in the 1100 block of Hoquiam Avenue Northeast at 6:16 a.m. May 1.

All-terrain vehicle

Police responded to a possible accident after a woman drove a medical scooter off a curb at West Sunset Way and Mountain Park Boulevard Southwest at 6:52 a.m. May 1. Officers and firefighters returned the scooter to the sidewalk.

Baby’s day out

Police responded to suspicious activity in the 1900 block of Northeast Park Drive at 7:20 p.m. May 1 and discovered an empty, unoccupied baby stroller. The caller did not know whether the stroller had a baby inside and did not check before calling police.

Eastside Fire & Rescue reports for May 16

  • At 10:38 a.m. May 4, personnel from a unit from Station 73 assisted a person locked out of their residence in the 2500 block of Northeast Park Drive.
  • At 12:09 p.m. May 4, three units from Station 78 were dispatched to a medical assist call in the 500 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard. The patient was gone upon their arrival.
  • At 1:45 p.m. May 4, personnel from a unit from Station 82 extinguished a car fire in the 20900 block of Northeast 15th Street.
  • At 6:37 p.m. May 4, two units from Station 83 responded to a call only to discover it was a malicious or mischievous false alarm.
  • At 11:31 a.m. May 6, a unit from Station 83 responded to an unauthorized burning in the 3000 block of 235th Avenue Southeast.
  • At 6:58 p.m. May 7, personnel from three units from Station 71 extinguished a rubbish fire in the 10400 block of 236th Avenue Southeast.

Where’s the beef?

Police arrested a juvenile for stealing a package of beef jerky from Front Street Market, 80 Front St. S., at 2:32 p.m. May 1.

Pills, popped

Medication meant for a person in the 4200 block of 192nd Lane Southeast was stolen or never delivered before 9:18 a.m. May 2. The estimated loss is $980.

Out of the bag

Police responded to suspicious activity in the 1200 block of Mount Olympus Drive Northwest at 11:26 a.m. May 2 after Public Works Operations employees discovered a plastic zip-top bag containing several pieces of foil, empty pill bottles, a bottle containing pink pills and 36.86 grams of suspected marijuana. Police placed the items into evidence.

Where have all the flowers gone?

A flat of flowers was stolen in the 100 block of Front Street South before 4:53 p.m. May 2. The estimated loss is $200.

Banned

Security removed a 19-year-old Bellevue man from the Pine Lake Village shopping center, 2902 228th Ave. S.E., May 2. A security guard told police the man had been loitering around the shopping center all day and had been asked to leave but refused. The man denied having been contacted by the security guard and refused to sign the appropriate paperwork. Police photographed him and told him he was banned from the property for a year.

Rebooted

A window was broken on a vehicle parked at QFC, 2902 228th Ave. S.E., before 9:45 p.m. May 2. A laptop computer was stolen.

Arrest

Police arrested a 47-year-old Enumclaw resident on a Bellevue warrant in the 100 block of East Sunset Way at 2:15 a.m. May 3.

Smashed

A window was broken on a vehicle parked in the 2100 block of Shy Bear Way Northwest before 9:35 a.m. May 3. A purse was rifled through but not stolen.

Hung up

A cellphone was stolen from a Ford parked in the 1000 block of 10th Avenue Northeast before 10:58 p.m. May 3. The estimated loss is $200.

Out in the cold

A jacket and laptop computer were stolen from a Volkswagen parked in the 500 block of Mountain View Lane Northwest before 11:19 a.m. May 3. The estimated loss is $2,140.

School’s out

Police responded to suspicious activity in the 700 block of Southeast Evans Street and located a transient camp on the Issaquah High School property at 12:07 p.m. May 3. Police ordered the subjects to leave the area.

Arrest

Police arrested a 57-year-old Bellevue man for shoplifting a computer hard drive from Costco, 1801 10th Ave. N.W., at 7:41 p.m. May 3. The estimated loss is $140.

Shady deal

A man contacted officers at the Issaquah Police Department, 130 E. Sunset Way, at 11:29 a.m. May 7 after he said he purchased a pair of Ray-Ban Sunglasses for $20 at the corner of Front Street and Sunset Way. The seller claimed the glasses were worth $275. The buyer later realized the glasses were not authentic and contacted police.

Arrest

Police arrested a 22-year-old Renton resident in the 9500 block of Renton-Issaquah Road Southeast for a court order violation at 10:46 p.m. May 7.

Bad medicine

Medication was stolen from an unlocked home in the 23200 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road before 11:40 p.m. May 7. The estimated loss is $55.

Arrest

Police arrested a 43-year-old Ronald man for stealing gasoline for a city vehicle in the 1700 block of 10th Avenue Northwest at 11:39 p.m. May 8. The estimated loss is $8.
