Liberty High School golfer qualifies for state

Two golfers from the Liberty High School girls golf team, seniors Krysta Dawson and Alex DuVall, competed at the girls varsity KingCo Championships May 9, with Dawson qualifying for state with a sixth-place finish with a score of 86.

Liberty took third place in the conference with a final record of 5-2, and 8-3 overall for the season.

Dawson placed 18th and DuVall placed 52nd last year at the state championship.

DuVall was selected for the KingCo first team this year, while Dawson was selected for the KingCo second team.

The state championship took place from May 21-23 at the Esmeralda Golf Course in Spokane.
