Adult sports
Issaquah Alps Trail Club
May 23, Wednesday noon. Remove Invasives Trail Work. We will be removing mostly ivy, holly and Scotch broom. Bring gloves, clippers, and loppers if you have them. Three miles, 200-foot elevation gain. Call Dave Kappler at 392-3571.
May 26, Saturday 9 a.m. Rattlesnake Mountain Hike. Hike from the Snoqualmie Trailhead to Grand Prospect and back or traverse all the way to Rattlesnake Lake depending on snow conditions. Bring your WA Discover Pass, if you have one.
10-11 miles, 2,200 to 3,000-foot elevation gain. Call Richard Mann at 633-7815.
May 27, Sunday 9 a.m.
Chasing the Snow, Segment 3 Hike.
Help us chase the snow away along the Mountains to Sound Greenway. Travel from the Tiger Summit Trailhead along Northwest Timber Trail and through the Raging River State Forest to the Snoqualmie Point Trailhead. Deep Creek is currently ankle deep and you may get your feet wet. This is a long strenuous hike. To participate, you should have in the past few months taken a hike at least 6 miles long with at least 1,000 feet of elevation gain. There will be a car shuttle. Bring something imaginative to share. Relax with us afterward at a cafe or pizza shop if you wish. Bring your WA Discover Pass, if you have one. 9.1 miles, 1,600-foot elevation gain. Tennis and friends — Issaquah Parks program for people 50 and older at Tibbetts Valley Tennis Courts. Daily sessions from 9 a.m. to noon. Call 369-8332.
Volleyball
Coed league — Issaquah Parks coed league for ages 18 and older is registering teams for its summer league. Call 837-3341.
Youth sports/activities
Fencing
Issaquah Parks offers fencing for ages 8-12 until June 5, Tuesdays from 7:15-8:15 p.m., at Endeavour Elementary School. Class is taught by Washington Fencing Academy. No experience is needed to take the class. Call 837-3300.
Soccer
The Issaquah Soccer Club’s registration for tryouts is now open for Arsenal and Gunners teams. Registration for U6-U18 recreation is open until May 31 for the fall 2012 season. Go to www.issaquahsoccerclub.org.
Wrestling
June 25-27, Commuter Wrestling Camp at Skyline High School. Sammie Henson, assistant head wrestling coach at the University of Oklahoma, will be the featured coach.
