William L. Slosson, “Bill,” was born in Anaconda, Mont., on Nov. 7, 1919. Bill graduated in 1942 from the Montana School of Mines with a Bachelor of Science in metallurgical engineering. The day after graduation, he married his beloved wife Mary Ellen Slosson.
Bill and Mary Ellen celebrated their 70th year of marriage May 9, 2012. Bill and Mary Ellen had two children, Christine and Thomas (1964-1978).
Bill is survived by his wife Mary Ellen, their daughter Christine and son-in-law Jerry Britt, granddaughter Sheila and husband John Barlow, great-grandchildren Skye and Reese Barlow, and granddaughter Lisa and husband William Rugen.
Bill worked in the aircraft technology field for 41 years before retiring in 1983 with 37 years at The Boeing Co.
Bill spent the past 26 years living in the retirement community of Providence Point in Issaquah and most recently lived at University House of Issaquah since October 2011. Bill’s most cherished loves were his wife, family and friends, playing the piano and fly-fishing.
Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Mountain Park Blvd. S.W., Issaquah.
Flowers may be sent to Flintoft’s Funeral Home or remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice.
