Jason Kang, an Issaquah High School junior going by the B-boy name ‘Roo,’ busts a move in competition May 18 during the first Issaquah Breakdance Tournament in the school gymnasium. More than a dozen competitors from as far away as Kentridge and Franklin high schools participated in the event, which raised money for charity: water to build wells in Africa. Breaking moves include the pop, windmill, swipe, freeze and pike. Kang, and seniors Alex ‘Mugen’ Valdes and Trevor ‘Jin’ Low, organized and competed in the single-elimination contest. By Greg Farrar
