Issaquah bus riders should expect King County Metro Transit and Sound Transit scheduled changes Monday for Memorial Day.

Metro Transit operates on a Sunday schedule for Memorial Day. The transit agency is also offering special shuttle bus service Saturday through Monday to the Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center from the Northgate Transit Center and South Renton Park & Ride.

For Metro Transit service, if a bus route does not usually operate on Sunday, then no service is offered on Memorial Day.

Metro offices also close on the holiday, including the customer information phone lines. Use the Trip Planner for travel assistance.

Sound Transit buses operate on special holiday hours Monday. Sunday schedules apply for all ST Express buses, and Central Link and Tacoma Link light rail.

The special Folklife shuttles serve the Seattle Center at the eastbound bus stop on Mercer Street at Third Avenue North.

The shuttles stop at Bay 5 at Northgate and make limited stops along Aurora Avenue North at North 105th Street, North 85th Street, North 76th Street and North 46th Street. The shuttle use Bay 1 in Renton at the transit center and does not make any stops between Renton and Seattle Center.

The cash-only shuttle fare is $2.50 each way. Children 5 and younger ride free.
