Denny Croston was inspired by other artists participating in artEAST's "Rookery Project" and decided to make a heron of his own. This piece was a fun challenge for the artist, who is used to working with rusted metal, not chrome. The heron is made out of car bumpers and exhaust pipes. A golf club chunk masquerades as the fish in its beak. The artist-made herons will migrate to different displays on the Eastside during the summer. By Ilona Idlis
