Denny Croston's backyard is filled with curiosities. The artist collects railroad memorabilia and much of it is on display behind his house, including a restored 1921 Northern Pacific Railway caboose, traffic signs, light posts and a host of smaller items inside the railroad car itself. A large shed in the back holds the majority of the scrap metal Croston has accumulated over the years. Finished pieces of Croston's own work and that of others, like Suzanne Tidwell's "yarn bombed" tree, pepper the well-manicured yard. By Ilona Idlis
