Denny Croston's backyard is bordered by the East Fork Issaquah Creek, where salmon can be seen during Salmon Days. A wire fence decorated with Croston's art separates the two. A metal salmon with horseshoe scales and mechanical gear fins hangs on the gate. By Ilona Idlis
