Skyline High School linebacker Peyton Pelluer verbally committed to Washington State University on June 18.

Pelluer will be a senior at Skyline this year, coming off an impressive 122 solo tackle campaign. His decision to become a Cougar was based on his comfort level with the coaching staff and the potential of the program.

“I felt comfortable around the coaches,” he told The Seattle Times last week. “They’re awesome and I built a strong relationship with them. That was key in my decision. But, really, I saw a lot of potential in the program. They need a lot of players to come in there and help the program get back to its old glory.”

His father Scott Pelluer was a four-year starting linebacker for Washington State from 1978-81 and played in the National Football League for five years with the New Orleans Saints.
