Silence is golden
Police responded to Regal Issaquah 9 Theatre, 1490 N.W. 11th Ave., at 11:31 p.m. June 24 after a theater employee said a woman disrupted a movie by yelling about the Green River Killer. Police met the woman in the concession area, and she asked for change for a dollar. She also talked about the Green River Killer being gross. The officer asked the woman to speak to the theater manager.
Stalled
Gasoline was stolen from a vehicle parked in the block of 228th Avenue Northeast before 8:30 a.m. June 23.
California scheming
A Sammamish resident said someone in California attempted to cash a $4,000 check in her name June 25.
Unfriend
A Sammamish man contacted police June 25 to report someone made an unflattering Facebook profile using his name and photos. The man said he contacted Facebook about removing the profile, and wanted to document the incident to police.
Sobering
Police arrested an 18-year-old Sammamish man for an alcohol offense in the 300 block of East Sunset Way at 2:20 p.m. June 25.

Swiped
Police arrested an 81-year-old North Bend woman for shoplifting in the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard at 2:28 p.m. June 25.
Up in smoke
Cigarettes and a checkbook were stolen from a Saturn parked in the 6200 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast before 2:53 p.m. June 25. The estimated loss is $15.
Checkmate
A Sammamish woman said fraudulent checks had been written in her name before June 26. The estimated loss is $4,000.
Smoked
Cuban cigars, a watch and a rifle were stolen from a home in the 3700 block of East Lake Sammamish Shore Lane Southeast before 4:30 p.m. June 26.
Drugs
Police arrested a 19-year-old Issaquah man in the parking lot at Madison Apartments, 3070 230th Lane S.E., for drug-related crimes June 26. The man had a warrant for marijuana possession. His companion, an 18-year-old Issaquah woman, possessed a small amount of marijuana and a pipe. Police confiscated the items.
Unlocked
Keys, a wallet and a cellphone were stolen in the 300 block of Rainier Boulevard South before 9:07 a.m. June 27.
Lost and found
Police recorded a possible theft in the 400 block of Everwood Court Northwest at 10:55 a.m. June 27 after a caller reported stolen property. The person called back later to say the lost items had been returned.
Garden party
A patio set was stolen from the garage of a home for sale in the 2500 block of 22nd Avenue Northeast before 12:35 p.m. June 27. The estimated loss is $3,000.
Duds
Police cited and released a 29-year-old Fall City woman for attempting to shoplift jeans and a jacket from Fred Meyer, 6100 E. Lake Sammamish Parkway S.E., at 2:02 p.m. June 27. The store recovered items worth $100.
Powerless
A breaker box and copper wire were stolen in the 600 block of Northwest Locust Street before 2:11 p.m. June 27.
Open-and-shut case
Police responded to suspicious activity in the 600 block of Bear Ridge Drive Northwest at 4:07 p.m. June 27 after a caller said motorists in a sport utility snapped a photo of their open garage and then drove away.
Rotten Apple
A Sammamish resident said his or her credit card information had been used to make fraudulent purchases from the Apple online store June 28. The estimated loss is $3,000.
Missed Target
Police arrested a 20-year-old Ellensburg woman for stealing from Target, 755 N.W. Gilman Blvd., at 4:58 p.m. June 28. The estimated loss is $300.
Howdy, neighbor
Police responded to suspicious activity in the 23200 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road at 10:25 p.m. June 28 after a woman reported a stranger speaking to her through the open kitchen window. Police could not locate the suspicious person.
Time to go
A vandal used a sparkler bomb to destroy a portable toilet at a construction site in the Glencoe neighborhood at about 11 p.m. June 28.
Red, white and boom
Police responded to the 22100 block of Southeast 20th Street at about 11:30 p.m. June 28 after a vandal placed explosives inside a mailbox. Police discovered the remnants of fireworks among the debris.
Reading is fundamental
A purse, and credit and identification cards, were stolen from the Issaquah Library, 10 W. Sunset Way, before 4:37 p.m. June 29. The estimated loss is $750.
Domestic violence
Police arrested a 35-year-old Everett man for domestic violence in the 1600 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard at 9:19 p.m. June 29.
Fraud
Police arrested a 41-year-old Redmond woman for fraud after she forged a prescription in the 6300 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast at 10:37 p.m. June 29.
Too fast, too furious
Police contacted a Sammamish driver for speeding through Pine Lake Park the afternoon of June 30. A parkgoer told police he noticed the man speeding in the park and waved his hands at the driver to attempt to slow him down. The driver stopped, left the car and confronted the parkgoer. Both men then called 911. The driver denied speeding through the park and told police the exhaust system on his Porsche sport-utility vehicle makes it appear he is driving faster than he actually is.
Line in the sand
Police responded to the 3800 block of 221st Avenue Southeast after neighbors got into a dispute over the location of a property line. Police advised both parties to contact attorneys and hammer out the dispute in court.
Bong song
A Sammamish resident said a 3 ½-foot glass bong was stolen from her residence before July 1. The resident told police she has a license to use medical marijuana. She told police she had been hosting a gathering when 15 to 20 uninvited guests arrived. During the gathering, a fight broke out and someone left with the pipe.
Ban the ban
A reader board reminding Sammamish residents that fireworks are illegal in city limits was vandalized before July 2. Vandals spray-painted a profane word on the sign. The vandalism did not damage the sign, and crews later washed off the paint.
Flushed
A city employee discovered damage caused by malicious mischief in a public restroom in the 100 block of Second Avenue Northeast at 9:10 a.m. July 2.

Police responded to possible fraud in the 22900 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road at 9:51 a.m. July 2 after a caller said an elderly relative supposedly won $10,000 in a sweepstakes.
Frenemies
Police responded to a possible assault in the 100 block of Front Street North at 4:10 p.m. July 2 after intoxicated people started to argue about $20. The subjects pushed each other and started throwing punches. Once cooler heads prevailed, the subjects still disagreed but declined to pursue another physical altercation.
Jewelry heist
Jewelry, including bracelets and earrings, was stolen from a Sammamish home before July 3. The homeowners suspected a housekeeper in the theft. The estimated loss is $8,000.
Unregistered
The vehicle registration was stolen from a Jeep parked at the Sammamish Park & Ride on July 3. Police said the thief forced the vehicle’s windows down to steal the documents.
Special deliveries
A mailbox was destroyed by fireworks in the 21800 block of Southeast 20th Street early July 3. Another mailbox was destroyed by fireworks in the 19700 block of Southeast 23rd Street before midnight July 4. Yet another mailbox was destroyed by fireworks in the 26500 block of Southeast Belvedere Way before 12:20 a.m. July 4.
Drugs
Police arrested a 42-year-old Bellevue man for possession of cocaine in the 5600 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast at 12:36 a.m. July 3.
Pedal meddle
A bicycle was stolen in the 200 block of Southwest Clark Street before 4:34 p.m. July 3. The estimated loss is $250.
Lexus larceny
A window was damaged on a Lexus parked in the 23200 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road before 12:14 a.m. July 4. A leather bag, and credit and identification cards, were stolen. Estimated loss is $100.
