The Seatown Rhythm and Blues Players funks up the stage with Motown and R&B classics during this summer’s Concerts on the Green series July 31 at the Issaquah Community Center.

Picnicking kicks off at 6 p.m., so be sure to bring a blanket. The music fills the air from 7-8:30 p.m. As many as 500 revelers attend, so be sure to come early to stake out your spot.

Seatown Rhythm and Blues Players fan Jeff, from Milwaukee, wrote on the band’s website, “Got a chance to see Seatown in Issaquah. These guys flat out play everything. Simply one of the best Motown cover bands I’ve ever seen. If you like classic Motown and funk, you will not be disappointed.”

The concert series, now in its 15th year, is at 301 Rainier Blvd. and is presented by Issaquah’s Parks & Recreation Department and the Issaquah Arts Commission, in collaboration with the Kiwanis Club of Issaquah. Kiwanis sells refreshments during the show, including hot dogs and hamburgers.

Black Velvet 4 polishes off the rock classics at the next concert series event Aug. 7.

As always, the concerts are free, but donations will be accepted.
