Friends of Youth  receives $15,000 grant

Friends of Youth has been chosen by the Safeco Foundation to receive a $15,000 grant as part of the foundation’s basic services initiative. The money will go toward sheltering homeless youth at The Landing, the lone young adult shelter in east King County.

Friends of Youth provides a range of therapeutic services for youth, young adults and families, including at a location in Issaquah. Learn more at www.friendsofyouth.org.

New directors join Friends of Youth team

Friends of Youth, which serves youths in Issaquah, has announced the following additions to the youth service agency’s team:

  • Mary Lowrance, a management consultant at Point B
  • Anne McBride, a resident of Kenmore and former CFO of Evergreen Hospital
  • Bridget Norah, a Snoqualmie resident and community volunteer with 18 years of sales experience
  • Mark Rockwell, a real estate broker with Windermere
