City Council members recently banned plastic bags at Issaquah retailers starting in March 2013. How do you feel about the ordinance’s effort to reduce plastic waste?

It is appropriate given Issaquah’s initiatives and goals to be as green and eco-minded as possible to protect the environment now and for future.

Issaquah voters could be asked to approve a park bond on the November ballot. What existing parks facilities most need improvement?

We need a bond for maintenance of all parks, rather than a capital improvement bond.

While “improvements” to some facilities are desired, the top priority really is to acquire prioritized new park lands before it’s too late.

Issaquah has more parks than most cities our size. Enough already.
