Chandler Osman, 12, an Issaquah Middle School student, strikes a ‘Thriller’ pose Oct. 22, 2011, during rehearsal for Green Halloween Festival performances.

Join the undead and perhaps set a world record as hordes of residents learn the steps from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” for a world record attempt.

Highlands Council organizers need zombies-to-be to join the Thrill the World attempt. Dancers plan to participate in the world record attempt Oct. 27 at the Green Halloween Festival.

Thrill the World rehearsals run from 5-6 p.m. Sundays from Sept. 9 to Oct. 21 at Blakely Hall, 2550 N.E. Park Drive. The event is free to open to everybody, regardless of age and skill.

Zombies plan to lurch into the “Thriller” dance at noon to open the Green Halloween Festival and again at 4 p.m.

Dancers participated in the Thrill the World record attempt and a downtown Issaquah zombie walk last year.
