The Issaquah School Board approved a $58,000 increase to Liberty High School’s construction bill at the regular board meeting Sept. 12.
The addition includes $5,032 for state sales tax and brings the total cost of the addition and modernization project up from $16,101,413 to $16,159,420. Bayley Construction is in charge of general construction.
The changes include a little more than $4,000 for added bird control devices as more areas that require them were discovered. It also includes nearly $2,500 for irrigation modifications, more than $4,800 worth of fence changes and welding modifications, and about $14,800 to upgrade to porous asphalt. The most expensive item on the list at about $17,000 is additional connections for five video monitors and two video cameras.
