Lost in the mail

Mail, including a bank statement, was stolen from a mailbox in the 1300 block of 254th Place Southeast before Aug. 27. Later, a caller discovered the mail in his or her garbage can in the 26000 block of Southeast 18th Place.

Farther east

Police responded to a traffic hazard in the 1700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard at 10:34 a.m. Aug. 27 and encountered a woman from Taiwan standing along the roadway and asking for a ride east along Interstate 90. Police asked her to move from the dangerous position along the road.


Cash and checks were stolen in the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard before 11:26 a.m. Aug. 27. The estimated loss is $160.

Police responded to suspicious activity in the 1500 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard at 2 a.m. Aug. 28 after a caller reported a man peering into vehicle windows. He told the officer he was searching the ground for 15 cents in change so he could buy a copy of The Seattle Times.


Police responded to possible malicious mischief in the 900 block of Big Tree Drive Northwest at 1:14 p.m. Aug. 28 after a property owner said a basement toilet flooded, and she suspected a former renter of causing the damage.


Police arrested a juvenile for possession of drug paraphernalia and tobacco products, and trespassing, in the 300 block of Rainier Boulevard South at 8:12 p.m. Aug. 28. Officers forwarded the case to the juvenile section at the King County Prosecutor’s Office.


Police arrested a 21-year-old North Bend woman for shoplifting in the 6100 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast at 2:18 p.m. Aug. 29. The business recovered $177.29 in stolen merchandise.

Game over

Police stopped a theft in progress and arrested a 20-year-old Everett man in the 6000 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 29. The officer recovered Xbox games.


Police responded to suspicious activity in the 100 block of West Sunset Way at 9:11 p.m. Aug. 29 and encountered a man who said was using Wi-Fi from the nearby Issaquah Library. He decided to move closer to the library.


A rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 23400 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road before 12:25 p.m. Sept. 1.
