Marilyn Budgell Shuler

Marilyn Budgell Shuler passed away Oct. 26, 2012 at Swedish/Issaquah.

She was born in Salem, Mass., on Aug. 30, 1926, and resided in Issaquah for the past 39 years.

She is survived by her children Alison Kent Williams of Chesapeake, Va., and Steven C. Kent, of Renton; her five grandchildren, Kyra, Janine, Ian, Preston and Kyle; and her great-granddaughter Mikayla. She is also survived by her brother Rodger C. Budgell, of Danvers, Mass.

Marilyn graduated from Danvers High School in 1944, and Colby Junior College in New London, N.H., in 1946, and graduate training programs from General Electric Co.

Marilyn’s professional career commenced with the General Electric Co. as personnel supervisor, then continued at GEN-RAD of Concord, Mass. She then became the director of human resources for the Winchester Hospital in Winchester, Mass., and vice president of human resources for the American Broadcasting Co.

In later years, Marilyn and her husband owned and operated Mount Rainier Vintners in Puyallup, and later owned and operated a precious metals facility in Nevada.

A memorial service at Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home was Tuesday, Oct. 30. Burial was in Walnut Grove in Danvers, Mass.
