Richard V. Jackson, 90, of Whidbey Island, died Oct. 26, 2012.
Service is at Langley United Methodist Church, 301 Anthes Ave., Langley, at 1 p.m. Nov. 17.
Richard was born Feb. 5, 1922, in Juneau, Alaska.
Richard graduated from the University of Washington in 1947, and Cornell University in 1951.
Richard joined the Navy in 1944 and served as an ensign on the USS PCE-884.
He married Norma Perez (from Northern California) in Caracas, Venezuela, on July 13, 1952.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Norma Jackson, of Freeland; son Richard (Barbara), of Cerritos, Calif.; son Kurt (Ann) and granddaughters Emily and Sarah, of Issaquah; son David (Karen) and grandsons Mark and Scott, of Bothell; and son Jeffrey (Marla) and grandsons Ethan and Matthew, of Scottsdale, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by brothers Roy Jackson (Jean), of Olympia, and Howard (Priscilla) Jackson, of Mercer Island.
