Jaroslava Masri, born in Czechoslovakia on Dec. 21, 1935, passed away at the age of 76, nearly 77, at her Pine Lake home in Sammamish on Dec. 16 at about 5:11 p.m.
She and her husband and daughter immigrated to the United States in December 1969 and lived at their Bellevue home and then at their Sammamish home since 1979.
She was a registered nurse at Group Health from 1970 and retired in 1994, with 24 years of service. She has been a regular donor to many charities, including Food Lifeline, National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, Paralyzed Veterans of America and especially St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
She will be remembered by many and leaves behind her husband Kamal Masri, her daughter Magda Hopt and son-in-law David Hopt, grandson Alexander England, sister Mila Zetek and brother-in-law Lubos Zetek, and nephew Willy Zetek.
Services will be held at noon Dec. 21, 2012, (her birthdate), at Flintoft’s Funeral Home in Issaquah, followed by a gravesite service.
