William Reece

June 9, 1924 — Dec. 2, 2012

Bill was born in Yuma, Ariz., and peacefully passed away Dec. 2, 2012, at his Bellevue residence, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Grace Payne and son Jimmy.

Bill enjoyed all sports. He made several trips to Alaska for sport fishing, which was later replaced by watching his grandchildren play sports. Bill cheered them on enthusiastically! He also had a passion for the Mariners. He enjoyed watching them on TV, but especially enjoyed going to Safeco Field with his good friend Dorothy, whom he loved dearly.

Bill was loved and cherished by his family and friends, always entertaining them with his adventures and stories developed over the years. He is survived by his six daughters — Sharon (Don) Haze, Caren (Joel) Darr, Janet (Steve) Okerlund, Elaine (Rick) Falconer, Billie (Frank) Donahue and Vickie (Jerry) Aney; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Evergreen Hospice and staff members at Aegis of Bellevue for their support and loving care.

A memorial service will be held at Bellevue First Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, 10675 N.E. 20th St., Bellevue, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22.
