Jack Raymond Seil, age 84, of Casa Grande, Ariz., formerly of Issaquah, died Nov. 9, 2012, of natural causes.

Jack Raymond Seil

Jack was born June 9, 1928, to Edward and Josephine Seil in Hobart, at their home. Jack graduated from Issaquah High School in 1947 and joined the Navy.

Jack was a Seattle police officer until retirement in 1978. He filled his extra time with camping, fishing, hunting and golfing.

After his wife Lue joined him in retirement, they purchased the Tierra Grande Country Club (golf course) in Casa Grande, Ariz. They owned and managed it for many years, and found many loving friends to golf and then party with on the patio.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife Lue Seil. He was survived by his son Mark Seil, of Snoqualmie; daughter Nicki Creighton, of Issaquah; siblings Mabel Junevitch, of Hobart, and Chet Seil, of Auburn; grandchildren Beau Seil, of San Francisco, and Paul, Erika and Drew Creighton, of Issaquah; two great-granddaughters; and Geri Anderson, his companion for the past five years.

Jack was preceded in death by four siblings: Walter Seil, Rex Seil, William Seil and Keturah Ward.

Jack belonged to the Elks 1957 in Casa Grande, which has a Lue Seil scholarship fund, and also the Issaquah Eagles 3054.

In Dad’s last week of life, many of these same friends were there, taking care of him to make sure he was comfortable. We would like to thank each and every one of them.

A graveside service will be held Jan. 12, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Lower Hillside Cemetery with a reception following at the Issaquah Eagles.
