Haley Smith honored at basketball tournament

Haley Smith, a senior wing/post for the Skyline girls basketball team, was named to the All Tournament Team at Coaches vs. Cancer tournament Dec. 27-29 in Palo Alto, Calif.
During her team’s three games, Smith scored a total of 42 points, 27 rebounds and seven assists. The Skyline Spartans won their first game 62-46 against the Lynbrook Vikings, of San Jose, Calif., on Dec. 27 but lost 55-53 the next day to Brea Olinda, of Brea, Calif.
The Spartans then returned Dec. 29 to edge out St. Francis, of Mountain View, Calif., 46-45 to take third place.
