Peyton Pelluer, a Skyline High School senior linebacker, played in the nationally televised Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl on Jan. 4, in which the East team eventually topped out the West, 17-14.

Pelluer was among 100 high school athletes from across the country handpicked to play in the game at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. The game is sponsored annually by the U.S. Marine Corps and aired on the NFL Network.

Skyline football coach Mat Taylor, who led the Spartans to a 14-0 record and the Class 4A state title this year, coached the West team along with Skyline defensive coordinator Don Bartel and Skyline receivers coach Kyle Snell.

Pelluer, who committed to Washington State, finished his career as Skyline’s career leader in tackles with 389.
