The state Department of Transportation is evaluating potential impacts of tolling Interstate 90, and the public can comment on the proposal.

The agency is considering a proposal to toll the highway on the seven-mile stretch between Interstate 5 in Seattle and Interstate 405 in Bellevue.

Jan. 22 started a 30-day public comment period for the tolling proposal. Offer feedback to the Department of Transportation at www.wsdot.wa.gov/tolling/i90/onlinescoping before midnight Feb. 22.

Residents can email comments to I90EAcomments@wsdot.wa.gov, or send feedback to Angela Angove, 999 Third Ave., Suite 2200, Seattle, WA 98104. Feb. 22 is the postmark deadline for mailed comments.

The agency is conducting a broad environmental assessment of tolling I-90.

If…I say IF, Washington State had told people that they couldn’t afford the bridge to start with, the people never would have accepted it.Just another case of “lets spend, and worry about it after the fact”

Got something to say?
