Special Olympics tourney is set for Feb. 10

The Issaquah Community Center will host the 2013 Special Olympics King County Regional basketball tournament beginning with opening ceremonies at 8 a.m. Feb. 10.

Games tip off at 8:30 a.m., with matches taking place at the Issaquah Community Center, Issaquah High School, Issaquah Middle School and Clark Elementary School.

Clark Elementary will host an individual skills competition at noon, while lunch is served to all athletes and coaches at Issaquah Middle School from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Competition is expected to end at 4 p.m.

Visitors can purchase event souvenirs throughout the day at the Issaquah Community Center. Award presentations are expected to be ongoing throughout the day at Issaquah Middle School.

Coaches must check in at the Issaquah Community Center at 7 a.m., while volunteers must check in at 7:30 a.m. ahead of a 7:45 a.m. volunteer orientation.

The community center is at 301 Rainier Blvd. S.; Issaquah High is at 700 Second Ave. S.E.; Issaquah Middle is at 400 First Ave. S.E.; and Clark Elementary is at 500 Second Ave. S.E.
