Dottie Parker passed away peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 26, 2013.

She lived in Sammamish/Issaquah for more than 65 years and was born in Bellingham on March 22, 1923. She was the devoted wife of Edmund W. Parker (Deceased) for 61 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Her surviving family is son Edmund Kelly Parker and his wife Jan Parker, of Duvall; grandson Edmund (Sport) Parker, and his children Bryan and Brooke, of Sultan; granddaughter Michele Geiger, her husband Todd Geiger and their children Emily, Michael, Matthew and Lauren, of Sammamish; her son Riley McDonald Parker and his wife Jan Misner, of Quilcene; her granddaughter Kelley Ann Yeaman, her husband Danny Yeaman and their son Kasen, of Buckley; and her sister Jean Vanwingerden, of Bellingham.

During the World War II war effort, Dottie worked at The Boeing Co., where she met her husband Edmund W. Parker.

Her most proud accomplishments were during the years she spent employed at Puget Sound Power and Light (now Puget Sound Energy) working in the Standards Department, testing and purchasing tools for the line crews and the equipment for the power grid.

She loved to garden and had beautiful flowers and vegetables growing in her yard. Her favorites were the orchids and geraniums she had year round in her kitchen windowsill.

Dottie will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Per her request, there will be no services. Donations in her memory to your favorite charity are welcome.
