Issaquah defeats Bellarmine Prep in lacrosse

NEW — 1:40 p.m. March 22, 2013

Issaquah High School’s Zach Fritz led all scorers with six goals as Issaquah advanced to 2-0 with a 17-1 boys high school lacrosse win over Bellarmine Prep at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma on March 15.

The Eagles jumped out to at 4-0 lead in the first and poured on six more, interrupted only by Bellarmine Prep’s sole goal of the game in the second for a 10-1 halftime lead. The Eagles went right on scoring in the second half, netting four in the third quarter and three in the fourth to close out the game.

Eight Issaquah players scored in the game including Matt Thomas who had four goals.
