By Staff

Calling all gardeners! A new chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society will soon be opening on the Eastside.

The inaugural event will be from 6-8 p.m. March 27 at the King County Library Administration Service Center, 960 Newport Way N.W.

The event is free to the public, and anyone interested in gardening with local plants is invited. A panel of gardeners will discuss several topics, including choosing the right plants for you and incorporating them into your garden.

A question-and-answer session will follow the panel, and snacks will be provided.
