Local bank hit by armed robbery

A suspect claiming to have a gun and demanding money robbed Wells Fargo Bank on March 30.

At 4 p.m., a bank employee received a note by the suspect, which indicated that the suspect had a gun and wanted money. The employee gave an undetermined amount over the counter. The suspect then fled the bank, located at 1190 N. W. Gilman Boulevard, heading westbound.

Responding Issaquah Police Department officers searched the area, but could not locate anyone matching the description.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s. Weighing approximately 160 pounds, he stood 5 feet 5 inches tall and was wearing glasses, a black jacket and black pants.

The case is under investigation by the Police Department and the F.B.I. Give any information on the crime to the Police at 425-837-3200.
