Women’s Club presidents honored by LifeWire
Linda Baker and eve’ Martinez-Petrut, co-presidents of Issaquah Women’s Club, recently accepted the award for LifeWire (formerly the Eastside Domestic Violence Program) at a breakfast meeting to thank the organization for their continued support of LifeWire’s scholarshipprogram and contributions to assist women in transition.
Eastside Baby Corner names new board members
Local social service agency Eastside Baby Corner recently appointed three new members to its board of directors.
Meghan Altimore, of Issaquah, is the director of Housing and Asset Building at Hopelink. She holds a bachelor’s degree in family development from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s in social work from the University of Tennessee.
Raj Thiagarajan, of Issaquah, has a background in investing in and driving global technology businesses. He leads HealthVault International and has been active in community organizations while living in Asia, Europe and North America.
Colin Cagney, of Bellevue, is manager at KPMG LLP’s Forensic Advisory Services practice and is a member of the Major Projects Advisory services group. He has a Bachelor of Science in construction management and engineering from Arizona State University.
Designer taker second place at competition
Kara Bowman, of Macpherson Construction and Design, won second place in the Best Individual Room: Contemporary category at the Northwest Design Awards competition March 8.
