Learning the symbolism and significance of a traditional Korean tea ceremony was a solemn, educational and tasty cultural experience for two dozen parents and their children April 4 at the Experience Tea Studio on Front Street North. Patsy Surh O’Connell, president of the Asia Pacific Cultural Center in Tacoma, pours tea for four young guests from the audience as she explains the meaning of each motion and each utensil of the 2,000-year-old Da Do (‘The way of tea’) ritual.
